What’s the top premium experience a store can offer online?

It’s not eCommerce / pick up at store / chatbots / beautiful images / VR / AR / personalized content.

Almost everyone can do that today since it’s all automated by computer systems.
The most prestigious service that can be offered is a live connection to another human being, an expert.
That’s a true effort, a real attention which is highly appreciated. That’s the ultimate experience and service.

One way to achieve it is the live video between an in-store expert and an online shopper. Of course, there are some challenges to solve like customer qualification (it’s impossible to answer every online visitor with live video), video quality, ease of use, and store efficiency balancing foot traffic with online service.

That’s what makes it an interesting challenge to solve and one that provides a clear differentiation for the ones mastering it.

What do you think?

Is it a viable model to offer a hybrid between online and offline shopping?
